github - Problem with specifying username in git pull http protocol?

hi ,all ,I am using

git clone http://username:password@gitlab.rep  

, because the username is in the form of an email address like x@y.com, it cannot be cloned. What should I do if I cannot use ssh for automatic deployment in the ssh script?
