如果Web3世界有一個具象的場景，那麼一定是有人築造高樓，興建城市，正如以太坊、Solana以及其他的L2側鏈所做的事情，修建更好的大樓，吸引更多用戶進入。還有一部分人，架橋修路，打通城市間的資產與資料流通。 zkLink顯然選擇的就是架橋修路這樣的思路。
為了解決資產碎片化和複雜的多鏈DApp 開發等問題，zkLink依靠零知識證明技術，構建了一個特定應用的擴展引擎基礎設施和一個聚合的第3 層Rollup 網路zkLink Nova，試圖打破現有各鏈上流動性孤島的問題。根據L2BEAT數據，zkLink Nova目前是TVL最大的三層網路（L3）。
7月22日，在多鏈聚合DeFi（Aggregated DeFi）領域備受關注的zkLink完成了TGE，其代幣ZKL在Bybit、HASHKEY、Bitget、Coinlist、Kucoin、Bitmart、Mexc等多家主流交易所上線，短時價格突破1美元，流通市值一度達1.3億美元。
ZKL是zkLink 協議的原生治理和實用性代幣，在以太坊主網發行。 ZKL總供應量上限為10億枚，沒有通膨設計。
在代幣分配方面，ZKL的分配如下：社區財庫（29.875%）、流動性儲備（4%）、生態系統發展（22.5%）、創始團隊及顧問（20%）、早期私人購買者（20.5%）、 CoinList 銷售（3.125%）。 
其中，本次TGE解鎖的部分如下，社區獎勵的比例佔比5%，社區開發激勵和漏洞賞金解鎖1.2%，CEX 和DEX 的流動性提供的流動性儲備2%，生態發展基金4.5%，CoinList 銷售解鎖0.9375%，初始解鎖佔13.6375%。團隊和其他早期投資者需等待數月後解鎖。
7月22日，Bybit、HASHKEY、Bitget、Coinlist、Kucoin、Bitmart、Mexc等多家交易所已上線ZKL交易。
據zkLink官方介紹，在 zkLink Nova 網路上持有 ZKL 代幣的用戶被視為質押者。 ZKL 的質押者有權參與 zkLink 協定的治理。
ZKL有兩個功能，一是治理功能，二是實用性功能。其中，治理功能主要體現在投票等環節上，不過zkLink也表示，在初期階段為了防女巫，只有管理員、主持人、作者等人可以創建提案。根據官方介紹，代幣上線後將開啟三項治理提案，具體內容為：1、確定創建治理提案的ZKL 最小數量；2、設立zkLink生態基金；3、規劃要添加到聚合匯總網絡zkLink Nova的下一條鏈。
在實用性功能方面，zkLink Nova 的原生Gas 代幣是ETH，ZKL則能夠在交易時以折扣支付的方式抵扣部分Gas費用，據官方資料顯示，未來ZKL 將有權參與Nova 的去中心化排序網路。另外，ZKL 是 驗證者提供的零知識證明產生服務的支付代幣，驗證者可在 zkLink 的證明拍賣市場中競標並完成證明任務以賺取 ZKL 代幣。
此外，ZKL代幣也可用於開發者存取 zkLink X 的 App Rollup 基礎架構服務。
今年6月份，zkLink曾發布了關於ZKL的空投申領規則- NovaDrop 第一輪：Genesis，三類用戶可以獲得本次空投的資格，分別為NovaPoints 持有者、Nova Lynks NFT 持有者、zkLink 忠誠積分持有者。
以本次TGE解鎖的數量來看，共有5000萬枚代幣分配於空投。如果價格維持在0.43美元左右，該部分的空投金額約為2,150萬美元。而ZKL的流通市值約5,800萬美元，完全流通市值約4.3億美元。
5月12日，zkLink推出 Aggregation Parade Season II 活動，總獎金數量為3000萬ZKL。 Aggregation Parade Season II 從 2024 年 5 月 31 日開始，至少3個週期，每個週期6週時間。用戶可以透過持有資產（包括代幣合併、輪盤和推薦）、現貨及永續合約去中心化交易所、借貸、GameFi等參與zkLink Nova生態的交互來獲得Nova Points ，在每週期結束Nova Points可轉化為ZKL代幣並領取。
