快速充电技术之争从未偃旗息鼓,realme马上展示全球首个300W超级闪充技术,不过这一技术并不会首发搭载于realme GT7 Pro上。

此次realme即将推出300W智能手机有线充电解决方案并非全球第一个300W快充——早在2023年2月,Redmi就率先公布了300W“神仙秒充”技术,不过这一项目的技术探索意义更多一些。

根据当时的技术介绍视频,用于展示的Redmi Note 12 Pro+可以在5分钟内将4100 mAh的电池从零充满,但是自那次发布以来已经过去了一年多,到目前为止还没有一款Redmi手机真正采用这种300W充电技术。

但从某种层面上说,此次realme的300W似乎更加具备量产可行性,realme GT5和GT Neo5都有采用240W有线快充的版本,可以在10分钟内充满。

实际上在今年6月,realme真我品牌营销总监王硕在接受采访时就曾透露,realme公司正在测试300W充电技术。

但@数码闲聊站同样指出,realme确实测试了300W超级闪充,但目前没有任何落地痕迹,电池容量实在做不大。他认为,智能手机快充接下来的大方向是100W/120W,同时将6000mAh硅负极电池尽可能做到相对轻薄。

回顾智能手机快充技术的发展,10年多的时间可以说日新月异。作为一款现代人生活中必不可少的电子产品,智能手机早就与人们紧密结合,而续航焦虑在不可拆卸电池普及之后被进一步放大了,于是在快充和大电池两个科技树上,厂商们开始了你追我赶的“军备竞赛”。

2007年,苹果发布了初代iPhone,这款重新定义手机的划时代产品拥有5W的充电功率。在现在看来可以说完全不值一提,但是对于当时的智能手机来说,这个速度已经足够快了。

2010年,USB标准化组织USB IF发布了USB BC 1.2协议,按照5V1.5A的标准实现了7.5W的充电功率。

而经过了很长一段时间的波澜不惊,高通在2013年推出了Quick Charge 1.0技术,彼时的充电功率正是我们所熟知的“五福一安(5V2A)”,也就是10W。

现在看来,很难想象在长达6年的时间内智能手机的充电功率只提升了5W,但是不可否认,在2007年到2013年之间,不少厂商开始在智能手机赛道野蛮生长,开始了最初的人才、技术积累。苹果凭借iPhone 4等机型引领全球,三星强势崛起,中华酷联叱咤风云,小米魅族崭露头角,好一番勃勃生机、万物竞发的境界。

2015年有一句广为人知的广告语——“充电5分钟,通话两小时”,一举让OPPO快充技术家喻户晓。在前一年,OPPO的VOOC闪充技术将快充功率提高到了20W,也正是从2014年起,绿厂的充电技术开始走在行业前列,并且屡屡引领快充技术的发展。

2014年,高通的Quick Charge 2.0技术问世,受制于当时安卓手机广泛采用的Micro USB 2.0接口和电源线,只能承受2A的电流,在提高电压的情况下实现了18W的充电功率;虽不比OPPO 20W快充,但胜在兼容性好、成本低,不过也就不可避免地产生了充电效率低、发热量大等问题。

2014年之后的几年内,各家厂商也是八仙过海,加大了快充领域的研发投入和技术升级,涌现出一批表现不错的快充技术。例如联发科Pump Express快充技术、华为Super Charge Protocol技术、魅族Super mCharge快充、小米ChargeTurbo闪充技术、vivo FlashCharge技术、三星FastCharge技术等等。

尽管在这一时期Type-C接口正在普及,安卓阵营基本实现了接口的大一统,但是这些私有协议也成了各个品牌之间的壁垒,“非我族类”就无法享受到满功率的充电速度,这也增加了用户使用成本。

In 2023, realme GT Neo 5 will bring the charging power to 240W. This is also the strongest fast charging technology in mass production so far, achieving "charging in 30 seconds and talking for two hours." In March 2023, Xiaomi Group founder Lei Jun released a charging video of a Redmi Note 12 Pro+ magic modified version on Weibo.

According to the video display, the 4100mAh battery is charged to 50% in about 2 minutes and 13 seconds, and reaches 100% in about 4 minutes and 54 seconds. It takes less than 5 minutes to fully charge.

This video is still very exaggerated even if you watch it a year later, but it is a pity for Redmi that 300W fast charging has not been used in mass-produced models. Not surprisingly, it is the first 300W official mass-produced commercial model. The title of fast charging solution will be won by realme.

From the initial 5W charging power to the 300W super flash charging technology that Realme will soon demonstrate, it is not only the result of manufacturers’ involution, but also reflects consumers’ demand for efficient charging solutions.

However, the improvement of charging performance is not only reflected in the improvement of charging power. The development of charging technology is not without challenges. Whether it is battery capacity limitations, the balance between charging efficiency and heat generation, or charging protocol barriers between different brands, problems need to be overcome. High-power fast charging alone is definitely not the optimal solution. High-power + large battery is the "double solution" to solve battery anxiety.

Type-C interface has unified Android, iOS and Hongmeng, PD fast charging has been able to cover 240W, and the promotion of UFCS integrated fast charging currently has certain resistance, but it is also developing slowly.

I believe that as technology continues to mature and standardization advances, smartphone charging technology will be safer and more efficient, and can achieve cross-brand compatibility, break down meaningless barriers and involution, and achieve long-term healthy development of the industry.
